ClearCorrect® lives up to its name … Clear aligners correct crowded, crooked teeth and misaligned bites

We at Dental Care of Riverside, California, are happy to offer what may be the clear alternative to braces to correct misaligned teeth and bite problems. Dr. Archana Sheth is certified in a range of orthodontic treatments and occlusal therapies, including the appropriately named ClearCorrect®.

ClearCorrect® represents a newer category of orthodontic treatment known as “clear aligner therapy” to correct misaligned teeth and jaws. These aligners are customized oral appliances. They slip into the mouth, and when worn as directed, the aligners place gentle forces on the teeth, incrementally repositioning them. Crowding, gaps, crooked teeth, underbite, overbite, crossbite, and open bite may all be corrected.

Dr. Sheth always tries to provide as many choices for her patients as possible. She is among the select providers to offer both ClearCorrect® and other brands, such as Invisalign®.

These brands vary in the materials and technologies used to support treatment. ClearCorrect®, for instance, uses an advanced and BPA-free Zendura® plastic to fabricate the aligners. They are smooth, flexible, biocompatible, comfortable, and removable. With traditional orthodontic treatments, such as braces, only your dentist or orthodontist can remove or adjust the brackets, wires, and bands. With this latest generation of therapy, you are in the driver’s seat. Simply slip the aligners in your mouth. Wear them for at least 22 hours each day. Take them out only when eating or brushing and flossing. That’s it!

If patient compliance is maintained, you can straighten your teeth and correct other imbalances on schedule – at around the same time as conventional braces, only without the hassle and nuisance associated with traditional options. However, treatment time can be shorter or longer than braces because there are many factors unique to you and your situation. These factors can affect what to expect from the process.

Furthermore, each aligner is but one in a series. It is essential to wear the aligners in the correct order. Failure to do so can also delay treatment. Dr. Sheth will advise when to change the aligners for the next stage of treatment. During a consultation at our office near Riverside, she can even show you exactly how your teeth will be repositioned throughout treatment. That’s the beauty of technologically-advanced clear aligner therapy!
